Content:Although listening is a receptive skills, young learners are not and should not be passive while listening; in other words, they should be engaged and/or work in the listening task actively. They should be engaged with different listening tasks according to their age, learning style, listening capacity and phonological awareness. In this workshop, we will look at a well-structured approach to learning listening and how it can assist young learners to develop listening abilities they need later on.

Reading is the path to the world, widening our minds and enriching our life. As language teachers, making positive impact to learner’s reading development is our goal. Especially to young learners, instructional reading strategies built up their language fluency as well as comprehensive understanding. Most importantly, once student possess these skills, they are expected to advance their cognitive level by analyzing, summarizing and decoding new materials. Welcome to a new reading World!

Technology in education has always played a significant role in shaping our ESL classroom, starting with paper, tapes and projectors to computers. With the booming digital generation using the latest technology, such as tablets, smart devices and the Internet, as a tool for blended learning we can help to diversify our in-class learning experience and engage our digital generation students to the lessons as well. Through blended learning, we do not just teach our English as a language, but also demonstrate to them how they can use English as their tools to explore.
