● 摘要:

Classroom instruction in Taiwan increasingly emphasizes the importance of the sequence of language instruction in relation to various ELT methodologies and practical step-by-step activities, aimed at recycling language multiple times for best exposure. Not only will such care for our language-learning environment allow students to succeed in needed exams such as the General English Proficiency Test (GEPT), but also allow language-learning to ‘make more sense’.

However, how many times should a new word or expression be practiced? How do we create the best activities to recycle key grammatical items? How many times should these be contextualized? Simply providing our learners communicative language learning activities is not enough. We need to be equipped with the latest methodology and resources with step-by-step activities to help accelerate language acquisition. Through this interactive workshop, practical teaching ideas will be demonstrated from ‘Sequences’, an exciting, new communicative four skills series from Heinle/Cengage Learning.
