Are you interested in attention spans, student satisfaction, and results in the EFL classroom? If you answered yes to any part of this question, this workshop may be right for you. Together we will explore how to achieve these goals by matching texts to student levels, using CALL (Computer Aided Language Learning via cell phone apps and computers) before (e.g. flipped learning) and during the class, engaging students withinteresting themes (e.g., Facebook, Harry Potter, Mr. Popper’s Penguins, Starbucks), and using methodologically based and fun-filled activities in the class that produce measurable results for students at a variety of levels.
講者簡介：
Dr. John Baker has degrees in TESOL, composition, and literature and enjoys exploring cross disciplinary relationships among the three. He is now in his 22rd year of teaching and has taught in the Korea,Taiwan, Thailand, and the U.S. His professional duties have included directing self-access and writing centers, conducting teacher training, and teaching a range of undergraduate and graduate courses (e.g., EFL, ESP, TESOL methodology, academic and creative writing, literature). He also holds the position as editor for several journals.
