The human brain can process images 16,000 times faster than text. Despite our natural capacity for working with visuals, however, rarely do we employ pictures to their full effect in language learning. Indeed, images can play a powerful role in the classroom, both facilitating internalization and increasing retention. In this hands-on workshop, participants will explore the rationale behind using images in English learning as well as come away with a few tips and techniques to leverage them to their full effect with their own students.
